cmi5 Conformance Test Suite
September 2020, Issue 8
Increased cmi5 adoption on the horizon
Since cmi5 was first released in 2016, there’s been a missing piece that has slowed its adoption. Stakeholders need a way to confidently procure and implement cmi5 tools and applications. Given our long history and passion for the eLearning standards, we are excited to support the Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) Initiative cmi5 Player and Test Suite (PTS) Prototype Project. We are kicking off a 12-month project to develop and deliver a cmi5 Conformance Test Suite and supplementary tools and resources including an open source cmi5 player to support the adoption of cmi5 and xAPI within the DoD and across the industry.

Support more content types to reach more systems
Content Controller solves the problem of making content available to learners across multiple LMSs while maintaining visibility and control over how the content is used, all from one location. Our latest release supports more content types, like videos and PDFs, allowing you to distribute them to LMSs just as you would any standards-based training content, with the same licensing, tracking and export options, including newly added support for LTI 1.3.
